Food Safety Star Ratings

Do you know what you are eating in Reading? Have a favourite take-away or a pub for a bite to eat? Reading Borough Council have published the 'Food Star Safety Scheme' detailing the best and worst places to eat in Reading.

Scarily, there are a whopping 46 food outlets in Reading that have score zero in the tests, giving you food for thought before you eat.

Is the scheme a fail safe way of protecting us as we nibble our way around Reading or are the demands of reaching the 5 stars just a little too OTT?
